Introductions...
The show opens as "Let's See Action" by The Who plays over the PA system; the video screens show a highlight montage of 'The Metal Heart' Ben Hanson's career as the man himself steps out into the aisle way.
He welcomes the one hundred and seventy fans to the first ever SCCW show and thanks them for visiting, before moving onto to explaining the vision for the future. He hopes that the wrestlers on show tonight will one day be future champions in FGA, 3GW, SSWA, NKP, CCP, or HELL. And Ben is glad that they've all decided to start their careers under his tutelage.
Hanson gives a brief rundown of the card and assures the fans that all the wrestlers have been busting their asses for the last two weeks to make sure they're as ready as possible for tonight. But with that being said, Hanson exits the ring, making way for the first match of the night.
Singles Match
The Dylcox vs. The Jester
The match started with The Jester attacking Dilbert as he was entering the ring. The big man staggered as he was peppered with punches before eventually tripping over the middle rope. This allowed The Jester to stomp at her prone opponent, before she ran against the ropes and delivered a jumping knee drop. An early pin attempt only got a one count though.
Dylcox got back into the match in the second minute when he rolled out of the way or a running senton; The Jester landed back first, and lost the race back to her feet. At ringside, commentator Ryan Savage was excited to see Dilbert's offense as he caught The Jester with a series of hiptosses. An Irish whip followed soon after, and Dilbert hit a back body drop that sent The Jester up high into the air before she hit the mat hard. He covered with a lateral press, but only got a two count.
Walcox continued to maintain the upper hand as he backed The Jester into the corner. A series of knife edge chops later and another Irish whip sent her from pillar to post. Dylcox slapped his belly before charging across the ring with an avalanche attack - but The Jester moved out of harm's way! Dylcox ended up in the corner as his opponent ran across the ring to deliver a running cartwheel back elbow! The big man staggered out of the corner and got doubled over with a boot to the midsection. On commentary, Jimmy Jam reminded the fans of The Jester's scissor kick, which is what she delivered to the back of Dylcox's head. But the pin attempt only got a two.
The Jester seemed annoyed with the referee after that one, and proceeded to argue with the official as Dylcox rose to his feet behind her. Jester quickly spun around with a forearm shot to the face, before she tried for a belly-to-belly suplex...it was then she realized she couldn't clasp her hands around Dylcox's massive waist. He broke her grip with a downward swing of the arms, and followed up with a vertical suplex. With The Jester down in the center of the ring, Dylcox rang against the ropes and delivered a running splash. The cover earned him a three count and a small cheer from the crowd.
Winner: The Dylcox (6:03)
After the match, The Dylcox celebrated on the middle rope as The Jester got back to her feet. And she didn't look best pleased at having lost the first ever SCCW match. So she low blowed The Dylcox as he stood on the ropes; he fell backwards off the turnbuckle and landed back first on the mat as The Jester grabbed her bat, Priscilla, from out of the corner of the ring.
She proceeded to slam the bat down across Dilbert's midsection several times before the referees intervened, grabbing the bat out of her hands and pushing her away from the prone Dylcox. The fans booed her as The Jester was escorted backstage, before giving Dylcox a round of applause as he got back to his feet.
Backstage...
Backstage a truck drives up to the staging area. A guy gets out with a clipboard and walks to the back of the truck popping it open. In the back is a large amount of very large boxes. The printing on the side of the truck said “J&T Printing Services”. The man turns around and a SCCW official is standing there waiting to receive the trucks shipment of SCCW T-Shirts. Harper Hill walks up to him and tells him that she was sent to get him near the gorilla position to take care of an issue with the speakers. He thanked her before telling the truck driver he’d be right back.
Harper then walked over to him introducing herself. Flirting a bit to make sure he threw caution to the wind, she told him that she could receive the shipment. He smiled as she signed for the shipment. She led him through the halls with several dollies full of boxes. She led him to the locker room. She stopped right in front of Delaney Lukas locker. She pointed at the ground in front of it saying that all the boxes needed to be unloaded right there. He looked confused. She said not to worry about it, batted her eyelashes a bit, and said it would just fine. He dropped all the boxes there, as she helped him to position the four stacks in front of the locker making sure Delaney would have a hell of a time moving them before preparing for her match.
The driver walked away with his dollies and Harper smiled devilishly talking to herself and saying that this was payback for earlier in the week under her breath.
Singles Match
Dominic Moretti vs. Oliver Kelly
Oliver Kelly made his way to the ring first to little fanfare. Jimmy Jam reminded the fans that Kelly was last seen competing in the Young Guns Cup where he was eliminated by Molly Reid in the first round. When his opponent made his entrance, Ryan Savage took great delight in pointing out Dominic Moretti's t-shirt, which read 'Your Mom Loves Dom'.
The match started with a collar and elbow tie-up, as Moretti quickly went behind with a hammerlock. Kelly tried to fight his way out, shooting off a couple of back elbows, but Dom spun his opponent around the apply a side headlock. That transitioned into a takedown, and Kelly was sure to get the shoulder up during the accidental covers.
Both men got back to their feet as Oliver Kelly pushed his opponent away and against the ropes. Moretti returned with a shoulderblock, knocking Kelly down. He ran against the ropes again, hopping over the prone Kelly who then got back to his feet. He leapfrogged over Dom as he approached, and Dom hit the ropes again, before getting caught by a hiptoss. And a dropkick. Moretti staggered back to his feet, only to get caught by a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker before Kelly covered for a two count.
In the third minute, "Dago" Dom got the advantage back as he countered a back body drop attempt with a knee lift to the face. Kelly flailed his arms to stay upright, only to get mimicked by Moretti, who then hit a clothesline! Kelly staggered to his feet again, and Dom followed up with a bulldog that drove his opponent face first into the mat.
Moretti posed for the fans, flexing his biceps as a dazed Oliver Kelly got back to his feet. Dom hoisted his opponent up across his shoulder and delivered the sitout cross legged slam! A hook of the leg earned him the three count, and a debut victory.
Winner: Dominic Moretti (4:32)
Backstage...
Backstage, interviewer Claire James stands with a microphone with a wide smile upon her face. She speaks briefly about the opening contests of the night, and the promising performances shown so far at the very first Sussex County show. She then changes the subject to whom she intends to interview at this time, the mysterious and some would say infamous, Caintigern. She turns to the redhead, who has shrouded her face with her murky hat, whilst looking around sheepishly, trying to avoid contact with the camera. Itself. James, smiling but looking a little uneasy, first asks the Irishwoman what she is looking to accomplish here in SCCW. The ragged clothed lady seems to answer, but there is the loud white noise of censorship is heard, James left opened mawed upon what she hears. Cait, as she is known, merely shrugs, then asking “Did yer not hear me or summat?” Then the censorship hits again as she seems to repeat her answer to her, this time with more over the top hand gestures.
James attempts to change the subject, mentioning her family ties to Brendan and Ciaran Samuels, the well known Clann Dia and whether she intends to follow in their footsteps, especially with their 2CW accomplishments, and notably Brendan’s European Championship victory over in New Kingdom Pro. Cait shrugs, giving an answer that is also censored as Calire James looks on horrified. She gulps, reluctantly changing the tone whilst bringing up Cait’s husband, the HKW and NKP star Jackson Magnum, one of the biggest draws currently in the industry. “Dinnae mention me Jackeen,” she utters, malice in her Southern Irish voice that could cut through steel. Caintigern turns to the camera, following and finishing with another censored rant that seems to be in the direction of her opponent, Black Betty, as the censorship breaks at once stage and her name is audible. Cait then gives another shrug, before turning and leaving the flabbergasted interviewer alone.
Earlier Tonight...
The cameras at the Sussex Academy cuts to the backstage area of the venue. In the back the camera focuses in on the bright smile of the SCCW interviewer Claire James. With huge enthusiasm she runs down the amazing action both in and out the ring that's happened tonight. She culminates it all using the upcoming match to introduce her guest for the moment Delaney Lukas. Delaney is introduce with a slow combination of a pan with a wider shot from the camera as she gives a gung-ho wave and smile to the cameras.
After getting past the eerily similar comparisons into appearance that Claire and Delaney share, the interviewer ask Delaney how she feels to be on the cusp of competing in her first professional wrestling match. Delaney waste no time going into frank detail about how hellish its been with the training regimen and the brand new realm of wrestling she's getting into. However, she exhibits examples of her dedication to growing into a great wrestler. She cites her first to show up, and last to leave mentality. She credits everything she knows to the training staff with a particular nod given to head trainer Ben Hanson, stating that "She's gonna put a smile on his face tonight."
Claire then ask about her family with emphasis on her cousin Alicia Lukas who has wrestle at a high level for a while now. Delaney nods while giving thanks to Alicia for giving her the itch to hop into the ring in the first place. However, she says that at the end of the day regardless of the Lukas name it's just her who's going to be in that ring tonight. She says that she doesn't expect to be given a pass because of her last name. "There's people at the academy who have been doing this a lot longer than me. But that's not going to be a pre-packaged excuse if I fall on my face out there. I work my ass off, I study all that I can, and I have a never-ever-gonna-quit attitude."
Claire begins to wrap things up by asking about her feelings heading into a match with three of competitors. Delaney states that she knows she isn't the only one hungry for this, but she has to be the hungriest one out there. She states that the odds stack up against her with three talented women she'll share the ring with, but she signs off stating "I may be outmanned, but I'll never be outgunned." Delaney throws up a finger pistol making an emphatic "Bang!" towards the camera before the shot quickly cuts away.
Singles Match
Caintigern vs. Betty Black
The match started with a collar and elbow tie up, which looked to be going in Betty's favor as she pushed Caintigern back into the corner. But as the referee called for a break the Irishwoman turned the tables and threw Black against the turnbuckles before unloading several hard punches to the face. The referee intervened as Betty stumbled towards the center of the ring, receiving some overhand shots as she went.
Black soon gained the upperhand as she dodged an errant right hook, and was able to counter with a series of hiptosses. An Irish whip followed and Caintigern was sent towards the corner, before Betty performed a cartwheel back elbow to her opponent. The Irishwoman stumbled out of the corner and found herself on the receiving end of a karate chop to the back of the neck, which commentator Ryan Savage claimed reminded him of Captain Kirk. Nonetheless, it dropped Caintigern to the mat and Betty was able to get a two count off it.
As the match entered the fourth minute, however, Caintigern was able to counter an Irish whip with a forearm smash! Betty tried to sneak a schoolboy pin in as she was lifted to her feet, but that only got a two count. After that Caintigern threw her opponent out through the middle rope before she followed Black outside. The two of them brawled for a few moments; Betty threw Caintigern towards the steps, but that was reversed and Black hit the steel back first. Caintigern charged at her, but Betty was able to dive out of the way, and the Irishwoman tumbled into the aisleway as the referee finished counting to ten.
Winner: N/A (Double Countout) (5:29)
After the match the referees did their best to separate the pair, ushering each of them backstage as they continued trying to fight.
