BATTLE ROYAL FOR A PLACE ON GLOBAL FRONTIER #8
The ring was packed with 34 SCCW wrestlers as the bell sounded to start things off. Everybody seemed to pair off and traded punches with their opponent due to the lack of space. But it wasn’t long before Zoe Dupont got thrown over the top rope by Ria Escárcega.
ELIMINATED: Zoe Dupont by Ria Escárcega [1] (0:30)
She didn’t take the elimination too well and threw a mini tantrum on the outside, swearing revenge against Ria for costing her this opportunity. But Ria was already working with Ricky Vega to double team Wally Lee in the corner. Shortly after, Charlotte, one of the newest signings and surprise entrants, had her haymaker ducked and was sent over the top rope by Sullivan Pibb. She managed to land on the apron, but couldn’t duck the back elbow that sent her off the apron.

The Caffiends teamed up after that, focusing on the biggest man in the ring, Punisher Bryce Robinson. PBR managed to fight them off early on, but soon got overwhelmed as Z helped out his old friends. The three of them managed to work together to lift PBR over the top rope, and sent him crashing to the floor outside.

ELIMINATED: Rocky Rhodes by Z [2] (3:45)
Rhodes tried to get back onto the apron, but The Caffiends knocked him down with stiff punches before turning their attention back to the ring. The eliminations slowed for a time, but the ring was still too crowded for there to be much action. The one exception was Steffi Sparkles hitting a diving corkscrew crossbody off the top rope, which took out Ria, Ricky, and Charlie. Unfortunately for Steffi, Miss Fortune was waiting for her with a dropkick to the back that sent Sparkles over the top.
ELIMINATED: Steffi Sparkles by Miss Fortune [1] (5:10)
Sparkles glared up at the ring, annoyed that the woman she pinned a few weeks ago has managed to get one over on her. Meanwhile, Marc Cosmos seemed to be enjoying the fact Steffi got eliminated as he waved her goodbye – before Melody Marshall dumped him over the top!
ELIMINATED: Marc Cosmos by Melody Marshall [1] (5:20)
Then it was Steffi’s turn to laugh as Cosmos fumed on the outside. Jack Wilde found himself in a spot of bother as he was pinned in the corner by GBH, until Wally Lee arrived to help. Then The Jones Sisters came over, as did Adam & Chino. And suddenly the tag champions were overwhelmed. They got stomped down and rolled out of the ring, and suddenly The Caffiends, Z, Caintigern, Ricky & Charlie arrived to take on their opponents. Meanwhile, Thunderbelly managed to clothesline Sarah Campbell over the top rope on the far side of the ring.

Blake Belladonna made a beeline for the Rising Star Champion, attacking her in the corner. The fitness trainer overpowering her opponent as she lifted Melody up onto her shoulders. But Marshall dropped down the back and dropkicked Blake as she turned around. Belladonna managed to hold on and pulled herself up, only for Maurice Robinson to clothesline her off the apron!

That was when GBH dragged Melody Marshall out under the bottom rope and stomped her down. They quickly re-entered the ring and went after the Jones Sisters, temporarily aiding Caintigern. Harper Hill and Miss Fortune soon tossed Veronica and Velma out of the ring.

Before Caintigern threw Harper out over the top!

With her partner eliminated, Miss Fortune went after Caintigern, and the pair went off to a corner to duke it out. Meanwhile, Jack Wilde found himself on the wrong end of a Noah Ortega clothesline. But he landed on the apron and managed to grab Ortega in a headlock. In an effort to pull Ortega over the top rope, Wilde just opened his opponent up for a sneak attack as Patience appeared from nowhere and dumped both Jack Wilde and Noah Ortega over the top rope.
ELIMINATED: Jack Wilde & Noah Ortega by Patience [2] (9:30)
Wally Lee reappeared to take on Patience as, on the other side of the ring, Maurice Robinson found himself getting double teamed by Ricky & Charlie. Romello Tyrell Judge came to his rescue, but things went wrong for RTJ, and he found himself being tossed over the top.

That gave Maurice the opening he needed to mount a comeback though. He fought out of the corner, taking on Ricky & Charlie as Goro Matsunaga appeared to even the odds. At least until Charlie stopped Robinson in his tracks with a low blow. Goro got distracted by the howl of pain, and Ricky was able to eliminate him as well.

Meanwhile, Wayne Williams got back body dropped over the top rope by Ash Fi.
ELIMINATED: Wayne Williams by Ash Fi [1] (11:20)
The ring was beginning to look a little clearer now as we’re down to 18 competitors. Maurice even had the room to impress with an overhead belly to belly suplex on Ria Escárcega. But The Caffiends seemed to realize what a threat a man of Maurice’s size represented, and set about trying to eliminate him. The double team seemed effective as they took Robinson down with a back suplex/neckbreaker combo. But when he was against the ropes, Robinson ducked under the double clothesline attempt, and countered, sending both Sullivan and Dewey over the top with a massive double clothesline of his own!
ELIMINATED: Sullivan Pibb & Dewey Dresden by Maurice Robinson [3] (13:45)
But the crowd’s cheers didn’t last as Noah Ortega reappeared from the back, just to dump Maurice Robinson over the top rope!

Maurice gave chase, but Noah managed to escape through the crowd before the big man could catch him. And suddenly the ring seemed a little more empty. Ria Escárcega caught in the corner by Wally Lee, as he tried to leverage her over the turnbuckle. But Ricky Vega and Charlie Blooms made the save. The three of them stomping at Wally, until Adam & Chino took out Ricky & Charlie.
Miss Fortune and Caintigern were still brawling, with Caintigern eating a turnbuckle catapult before Pattie Pearce attacked Miss Fortune from behind. The diminutive dynamo brought the heat, even catching Miss Fortune with a springboard reverse DDT. But Miss Fortune managed to land on the apron as Pattie threw her over the top rope. As Pearce charged in, Fortune lowballed the rope, and Pattie tumbled out.

Fortune quickly rolled back into the ring to prevent elimination, and blew a kiss towards Pattie as she headed backstage. Meanwhile, Thunderbelly found himself brawling with Bricklyn Granger in a corner. The SCCW Champion set her up for an airplane spin, taking down Ricky Vega, then Charlie Blooms, then Ria Escárcega. Patience ate some boots to the face before Thunderbelly dropped Bricklyn, and clothesline Patience over the top.

Miss Fortune tried to go after Bricklyn Granger, just to finish off The Swole Mates. But she underestimated the Brickhouse Barbie, and soon got caught by a fireman carry backbreaker. Granger threw her over the top, but again Fortune managed to land on the apron – only for Wally Lee to hit a triangle dropkick that knocked Miss Fortune off the apron, all the way to the outside.
ELIMINATED: Miss Fortune by Wally Lee [1] (19:45)
Ria tried to capitalize as Wally had his back turned, but he had her scouted and side stepped the charge. Escárcega sailed over the top rope, on her way to being eliminated.

Before Caintigern drilled Wally with the Brass Magnum (Superman Punch) that knocked him back, before a big boot to the face knocked him over the top rope.

Melody Marshall was back in the swing of things by now; the Rising Star champion taking the fight to Ash Fi in one corner as Bricklyn Granger clubbed her across the back. Marshall found herself in trouble after taking an inverted headlock backbreaker, but she held on as Bricklyn tried to leverage her over the corner. That’s when Thunderbelly came in, leaving Z down for a moment as he dumped them both over the top. Bricklyn hitting the mats on the outside as Melody landed on the apron and rolled in under the bottom rope.

Before Thunderbelly surprised Caintigern and dumped her over the ropes to a loud cheer from the crowd!
ELIMINATED: Caintigern by Thunderbelly [3] (22:45)
The Drowned Goddess didn’t take kindly to that – to the surprise of no-one – and leapt back up onto the apron. She and Thunderbelly traded blows, until Z came up behind the SCCW Champion and struck him with a forearm smash. Thunderbelly bumped into Caintigern, knocking her off the apron before a follow up dropkick sent Thunderbelly over the top.
ELIMINATED: Thunderbelly by Z [3] (24:15)
The Champion picked himself up on the outside, just in time to be met by Caintigern as the two brawled up the aisle. And suddenly we were down to the last four. Adam & Chino went after Z, knocking him with a bulldog across Chino’s knee. But Z quickly rolled out of the ring, so they turned their attention to the recovering Melody Marshall. Adam & Chino worked together to double team their opponent, culminating in a double team suplex.
They were set to eliminate her shortly after; Chino went to throw Melody over the top, but she reversed and Chino went up and over. He did managed to land on the apron though. Melody tried to knock him down, but the pair just ended up trading blows until Adam charged in with a forearm smash – straight to Chino! Melody ducked in time, and Chino Hills sailed off the apron!

ELIMINATED: Adam Dragmirov by Melody Marshall [2] (30:00)
But the bell didn’t ring. On the far side of the ring, Z rolled back in under the bottom rope as he struck Melody from behind. Z pressed on, using a crucifix cutter to wear his opponent down as he seemed determined to win. He set Marshall up against the ropes, but she managed to fight out of that with elbows to the face. A tornado DDT put Melody back in control before she tried to throw Z over the top rope – only for him to land on the apron. A shoulder thrust to the gut caught the Rising Star champion off guard as she charged in again, buying Z some time. He went for a suplex, trying to lift Melody over the top from the apron, but she managed to kick her legs to block.
So Z dropped his opponent throat first across the rope with a guillotine, sending Melody backwards and giving himself enough to step back into the ring. But Marshall recovered quickly and rushed her opponent; Z side stepped and threw Melody over the top, only for Melody to land on the apron this time. Z swung with a haymaker, but Melody ducked and caught the arm. She brought Z in close with a headlock and, to the surprise of many, managed to use her weight to bring Z over the top rope before he fell to the floor! The bell sounded this time as Melody rolled back in under the bottom rope. On the outside, Z looked shocked, but Melody was already on the apron celebrating her victory and her place in the battle royal at Global Frontier!
WINNER: Melody Marshall (36:45)
