Backstage…
The cameras cut to the backstage area where Jack Wilde was stood with Claire James. Jack looked pretty relaxed about his match, as he stretched his muscles whilst talking himself up a little. He said GBH were a formidable team but ultimately ran their mouth too much. He went on to say he was in a team of strange bedfellows and didn’t know what to expect tonight, especially from Patience, but as long as they gave 100 % he wasn’t too concerned. He said the team getting the win was more important than anything else, and that it was in their interests to all work together, and get their careers here in SCCW off to a perfect start. He then thanked Claire for her time before bizarrely sprinting off down the corridor in a shuttle run as he continued to prepare for his match.
Recorded Earlier…
The words ‘Recorded Earlier’ appear across the bottom of the screen as the picture fades in and finds one of the evening's debutante’s - Steffi Sparkles - out amongst the empty seats that would be filled by the crowd. The blonde is moving methodically down each row, leaving behind her a trail of glossy 8x10 photos of herself in her ring gear. Each picture is not only signed, they are also dated and accompanied by a silver, glittery sparkly kiss next to Steffi’s head. Slowly following, perhaps a few feet behind clad all in black except for a single orange streak in her hair was one of Steffi’s tag partners for tonight. Patience. The raven-haired woman slowly followed, making faces every time the blonde put one down until she finally asked what the hell Steffi was doing. The blonde fixed a smile on her face as she told her opponent she was making sure all the fans had a memento of her debut so that when she became big they’d have proof they were there the night she first wowed them. Patience would groan at that and explain that the fans don’t care, nobody actually cares. Only if she can manage to really kick ass and hurt their opponents worse than they can be hurt in kind, only then the fans will remember.
Steffi continued to distribute her photos as she listened to her opponent, nodding her head and pausing at the end of the row. Taking a pen from her pocket she scrawled a little extra on the top photo, explaining to Patience that the fans - and the woman in black would find out what she was capable of later...and could then thank her for winning the match. Patience gave a big fake smile at that and brushed her hair back saying she like, totally wants to see that. Just like a valley girl.Steffi pinched Patience’s cheek, smiling widely as she did as professed joy they were on the same page and ready to score the upset of the year on their debuts. To that Patience can’t help but smile just a little and agree. As Steffi gets back to it Patience pulls out a sharpie from her cleavage and starts drawing devil horns, mustaches and the like on pictures as she follows.
Six Man Tag Team Match
GBH (Miss Fortune, Harper Hill & Sammie Rósza) vs. Patience, Steffi Sparkles & Jack Wilde
As you might expect, GBH controlled the large portion of this match against the mishmash team of newcomers. Miss Fortune and Harper Hill in particular showed why they’re the tag champions as they isolated Jack Wilde in the early goings. A slingshot/buttsplash combination and an aided wheelbarrow DDT were among the early highlights, but Wilde kept kicking out of each pin attempt.
By the fifth minute he’d found a way back into it though; Sammie Rósza made the mistake that let Wilde catch her with a handspring enziguiri, before he tagged out to Steffi. Sparkles tried to take the fight to Sammie, going so far as catching her with an over the shoulder back kick in the sixth minute, before she tagged out to Patience. The more experienced member of the team scored some near falls, including one after a kneeling piledriver in the eighth minute, But Sammie stayed in it with some help from her partners.
Steffi got the tag back in shortly after, and caught a knee to the back from Miss Fortune. That was enough distraction to get hit by Rósza’s Sammycide (Triangle Knee Strike), before she tagged out. Hill managed to get a chance to shine after entering the ring, pulling off a corner slingshot corkscrew legdrop and the "Bang to Rights" (Springboard Stunner). But not enough for a three count. Miss Fortune re-entered the ring and hit Steffi Sparkles with a cradle DDT shortly thereafter, but the pin attempt came to naught after Patience broke up the cover.
Her presence brought in Harper, which brought in Jack, which brought in Sammie. And soon all six people were in the ring. Madness ensued, which culminated in Wilde hitting Sammie with a suicide dive, while Harper and Patience brawled on the outside. But all of that just proved to be a distraction as The Swole Mates entered the ring, and promptly planted Miss Fortune with the The Brick-Pearcer [Halo Bomb (Brick) with a Springboard Reverse DDT assist (Pattie) combo]. They draped Steffi across Fortune’s chest before the oblivious referee turned around to count the three.
Winners: Patience, Steffi Sparkles & Jack Wilde (11:32)
After the match, The Swole Mates got on the microphone as Bricklyn reminded GBH about what they did on the last show, costing her that match against Zoe Dupont. She warned them that The Swole Mates don’t back down from a challenge, and they certainly don’t run from punks like GBH! She called this a warning, and told GBH to stay out of their business before they lose something more valuable than this match…as the pair of them made the belt motion around their waists.

Backstage, Ricky Vega is moving back and forth against a wall. The look on his face denotes some nervousness before his match. He has a chip on his shoulder, it seems. Here in SCCW he has found some success, but every time he steps out of the curtain to face more seasoned opponents, his abilities are tested and the holes in his game are exposed. Tonight he fears the same will happen against Chino Hills. He wouldn’t admit it to anyone, but he fears he might lose once more, he fears he might have to eat his overconfidence and his words cold.
The camera crew approaches him and he smirks, stopping the back and forth motion to show a bit more of confidence in himself, although, his body language says more than he’ll admit verbally. He cracks his neck as he speaks.
Ricky Vega: “Tonight, it’s you and me, Chino. No one else in that ring but the two of us and the ref.”
Ricky puts both of his hands inside the pockets of his jacket, and with a smirk he continues to talk.
Ricky Vega: “We aren’t strangers to each other’s. In fact, we’ve already shared the ring once before. The result, didn’t go as I’d hope it would’ve, but it took someone else to make their presence felt in order to save you from a defeat.”
Ricky shrugs as he continues speaking.
Ricky Vega: “Tonight, Chino, mi amigo, there’ll be no GBH, there’ll be no Adam, there’ll be no Charlie. It’s just the two of us, inside that ring, face to face. Show me what you’ve got. Because I’m sure as hell, gonna show the world why I’m gonna start a revolution. Just… you… wait.”
Ricky then pushes himself out of the wall as he continues walking down the hallway, with both of his hands in his jacket, as the scene cuts back to the action.
Singles Match
Ricky Vega vs. Chino Hills
Two of the more experienced members of the SCCW roster put on a solid match as they went back and forth throughout. Chino gained the upper hand first after catching Vega with a standing double foot stomp in the second minute. The tempo remained high as both men traded strikes from seemingly every angle, culminating in a Chino Hills corner handspring back elbow in the fourth minute. But the pin attempt only got a two.
Vega turned the tables on his opponent shortly after, catching Chino with a pop up Gory bomb off a reversed Irish whip. The hungry young rookie procceded to mock Chino as he stomped at him, before dropping a vicious elbow drop. Chino tried to get back into it with some hiptosses and arm drags, but Vega hit a running dropkick to cut his opponent’s momentum off. He soon moved onto higher impact moves though, debuting his fireman carry facebuster for a two count, as well as a rope hung codebreaker in the seventh minute for another near fall.
Chino managed to get back into it shortly after; he reversed an Irish whip to the corner, and proceeded to drill Ricky with a running corner step up kick! Things looked bleak for Vega in the ninth minute when he got trapped in a double arm octopus stretch. He looked almost set to tap out, but got his foot on the ropes.
Hills maintained the advantage until the end, when he got Ricky in a rear waistlock. Vega flailed his arms and grabbed the referee’s shirt, which served as distraction enough for him to low blow Chino. From there, Ricky hit the crucifix cutter and finished his opponent off with the shining wizard for the three count.
Winner: Ricky Vega (10:21)
After the match, Ricky celebrated his win at ringside, flying the Cuban flag as Chino recovered in the ring. The two of them locked eyes as Ricky made his way back up the aisle.
Singles Match
Wally Lee vs. Ria Escárcega
The match started early as Ria couldn’t seem to wait for the bell. She stomped Wally as he entered the ring, and controlled the first few minutes thereafter. After hitting a crossbody to her seated opponent, Ria tried to finish things early with a diving bulldog – only to miss. Wally finally found his footing in the third minute as he slowed the pace, using his size advantage to his benefit with a belly to back neckbreaker.
Lee maintained control for a few minutes, coming close to ending the match with the nomisugi knee strike in the fifth minute. But Ria kicked out at two. As the tensions began to rise again, Wally managed to buy some time as he knocked Ria out of the ring with a high angle dropkick. That was followed by a handspring moonsault over the top, much to the delight of the fans!
But Wally’s advantage didn’t last. He tried to follow it up with an apron kick, but Ria caught his leg and dropped Wally back first on the apron. From there she proceeded to hit the suicide somersault senton that sent Wally crashing back against the guard rails. Escárcega looked set to finish things off shortly after as she went up top. But she took too long, and Wally was able to shake the top rope. From there, he hit a superplex, followed by the Bomb Voyage (Standing Sitout Shiranui) for the three count.
Winner: Wally Lee (9:51)
After the match, Wally took the microphone and addressed the fans about his upcoming match at Vindication. He says he’s honored to finally be competing for the Hudson Cup, and he knows Neal Durden will provide a real challenge. But Wally’s been growing ever since he got to SCCW. He’s been growing as he wrestles in SAP, or in Japan. He’s even grown since he was eliminated from the Young Guns Cup and that’s why at Vindication, Neal Durden won’t know what to expect!
Backstage…
We're taken backstage to a shot of an empty hallway, nothing but the sound of "Mo Money Mo Problems" by Notorious B.I.G. bumping in the background. From around the corner a little ways down the hallway at an intersection, the large figure of Maurice Robinson appears as he gyrates his hips and thrusts his arms in the air, dancing his way onto the scene. As he scoots sideways down the hallway, closer to the camera with each shuffle of his feet, he swings his right hand like he's smacking someone on the backside.
Eventually he comes to a stop with a big smile on his face and, at the same time, the music fades to where it can still be heard but it's much softer in the background. It's then that Maurice addresses the fans, who pop for him as he does so, saying that "on the last show the world saw Noah Ortega get the better of him through nefarious means. BUT TONIGHT! He'll be at ringside, on commentary, doing his best to make Noah likable and help him get out of the projects and maybe be able to buy a nice little condo for his mother someday." Shrugging his shoulders, Maurice wraps things up by saying that "that's what's on the table for tonight. But when Noah and I get back in the ring and do our dance again, he won't be able to avoid taking the Money Shot from Money Mo, just like all the other hoes.”
