Backstage…
The cameras starts rolling backstage where Claire James is standing by with a microphone in hand. She welcomes the reigning Rising Star Champion, Murph B who walks into the frame. The slender, 5’10 woman has her title slung over her shoulder. Claire conducts the interview, asking Murph about her upcoming title defence against Wally Lee.
Murph calls him ‘Wally Waldo’ and mentions that his little cushy win streak will be over with when she crushes it. Murph goes on how Wally is just a man child who can’t handle the responsibilities as a champion. Murph goes on how she took the Rising Star Championship away from Dickie and made it hers and elevated the title. Murph continues on saying that she’ll won’t lose this championship anytime soon and that’s because she always gets the job done. Murph raises up her title towards the camera and walks away from the interview with pride.
Ringside…
Ben Hanson made his way out to the ring to thank the SCCW fans for attending tonight. He gave a brief rundown of the card, including all three title matches and the Hudson Cup match.
Hanson thanked the fans again for their continued support, and hoped they were continuing to support the SCCW wrestlers in their endeavours both home and abroad. That was before he announced SCCW would be taking a brief break over Christmas after Christmas Bash next month, but would be back in the new year with Sunday Night Slams #21.
Before then though, they’ve got some of the biggest shows so far for the SCCW fans to enjoy! Including this one!
Ringside...
We cut right to the ring where Wally Lee is pacing around the four corners as his music is slowly coming to a fade. Kicking off the show tonight he looks completely serious with his game face nailed on. He paces with a microphone in his grip as he looks over the SCCW fandom in attendance tonight.
Wally stops in the center to greet everyone and thank them for coming out to tonight's big show. He gets a positive reception being a hometown boy. He says that his entire life he knew that he had a purpose. He says that a lot of people never realize their purpose. That some discover it when it too late to do anything about it.
Wally says that he knew from a very young age that he was meant to be in this ring. He says he's back up his purpose by working his ass off in training, doing things the right way, and having a damn good time doing it too. He stops for a moment soaking in some of the building cheers from the fans before continuing his spill.
He says that when you take the right path, the obstacles come, the road gets steep, and you begin to wonder why you even took it to begin with. He says that he knows why he's taken the right path. Because that path leads right to tonight. His path leads to Muph B.
He says that he's not going to lie and say that Murph isn't talented. He's not going to say that tonight will be a walk in the park. But he knows that she knows that tonight he's going to be rewarded for doing things the right way. He says for four months he's been slowly climbing up the mountain of success in SCCW... Rising like the star he is.
He smiles after a small pause. He says that tonight. There's nothing Murph can do to weasel her way out of this. There's no shortcut she can take. He says tonight their respective roads come at an intersection... And only one of them is worthy enough to press on forward... As a champion.
He tosses the microphone aside and loosens up some more as he awaits his opponent for the evening.
Singles Match
Rising Star Championship
Murph B (c) vs. Wally Lee
The match with a staredown between the two, before Wally Lee won the crowd over with a simple boo/cheer taunt..and Murph slapped the taste out of his mouth! From there it quickly devolved into a brawl, in which Murph seemed to get the upper hand. She forced the challenger back into the corner and worked Wally over with forearms and elbows to the face, before bringing him out of the corner with a bulldog. The pin attempt only scored her a one count though.
The champion maintained the advantage for a few minutes, targeting the back of Wally Lee; a belly-to-belly backbreaker and an inverted headlock backbreaker were among the highlights, which she hit between stomps and submission holds. By the fourth minute, however, Murph was growing cocky as she taunted the prone Wally Lee – only to get rolled up in a small package for a near fall! Lee seemed to be feeling a second wind as he dodged an errant clothesline attempt, and countered with a lifting belly to back neckbreaker.
Murph rolled out of the ring to put some distance between the pair, but that just allowed Wally Lee the opportunity to fly. A handspring over the top rope moonsault caught the crowd’s attention, and earned him a loud cheer from the SCCW fans, but Wally wasn’t done. He whipped Murph into the ring post before the match re-entered the ring. Wally continued to press the advantage, using his speed to evade Murph’s attack and counterattack whenever possible. He scored some near falls off a kneedrop facebuster, and a nomisugi knee strike. Wally even managed to show off his new diving corkscrew crossbody, but nothing could keep the champion down.
The eleventh minute rolled around before Murph found an opening. Wally missed a corner splash, and staggered out towards the center of the ring – where Murph nailed him with a Mafia Kick! Both competitors were down momentarily, before they got up around the same time. Wally managed to get the upper hand of a brief scuffle before diving around the back for a rear waistlock; Murph grabbed the referee’s shirt to distract him from the low blow, before she managed to debut her new over the shoulder back kick that caught Wally square in the face. With the challenger reeling, Murph dived around the back and lift Wally up before hitting a Croyt’s Wrath for the surprise three count!
Winner and STILL SCCW RISING STAR CHAMPION: Murph B (11:01)
After the match, Murph threw Wally out under the bottom rope before celebrating with her title. The challenger still feeling the effects of that low blow as he recuperated on the outside, glaring up at the woman who just screwed him out of a title.
Backstage…
The former Rising Star champion, Dickie Harter is standing with Claire James as the pair are talking about how all this started. Dickie acknowledges he was never happy with how he won the Rising Star title back at High Voltage – the interference of Sammie Rósza and Murph B put a bitter taste in his mouth, but he forgave Sammie, assuming she just wanted to help.
But their misunderstandings continued, the arguments persisted, until Sammie eventually went too far. She turned her back on him at Learning to Fly – in SCCW’s first ever ladder match no less! The low blow, the pushing him off the ladder and through the announce table. But even then, Dickie continues, she wasn’t done twisting the knife. Because then Sammie aligned herself with GBH. And that was just spitting in the face of him and the SCCW fans who had cheered for Sammie, and supported Sammie throughout the start of her career.
And that won’t fly. Tonight Dickie is going to end what Sammie started, and show her the error of her ways.
Backstage…
The members of GBH are watching Dickie’s interview on a monitor. Miss Fortune tells Sammie to wipe that smirk off Dickie’s face, before Harper advises her to do whatever it takes to win. They want her to remember how good it felt to stand over Dickie after they all beat him down on Sunday Night Slams #15, because she’ll feel that good again soon enough.
Sammie seemed to be happy with the pep talk as she set off for the ring, saying she was gonna “kick all the ass”.
Grudge Match
Dickie Harter vs. Sammie Rósza
In true GBH fashion, Sammie attacked her opponent before the opening bell, catching Dickie with a baseball slide to the face. The action heads to ringside as Sammie uses the steel steps and guard rail to her advantage, slamming Dickie into them repeatedly. Rósza eventually rolls her opponent into the ring and covers, but can only get a one count.
Sammie tried her best to keep the upper hand, but Dickie kept finding counters to her moves. When she was doing a ten punch combo on the ropes, he caught he with an inverted atomic drop. When she went for a cross body block, he caught her with a fireman carry backbreaker. Before, in the fourth minute, Dickie managed to get his first pin attempt after a swinging Michinoku Driver. But only for a two count.
Harter pressed the advantage, showing off his high flying ability with a corner springboard tornado DDT in the fifth minute, as well as a Kotaru Krusher shortly theerafter. But Sammie escaped under the bottom rope before Dickie could make the cover. That just served to allow Dickie the chance to fly as he leapt off the top turnbuckle with a crossbody block all the way to the outside, much to the delight of the fans!
Things went wrong for him in the eighth minute though, as Dickie set his opponent up for a Detonation Kick. An eye rake was all it took for Sammie to slip down the back from the fireman carry position, before she dropped Harter with the rolling cutter! Her pin attempt only got a two count though. Rósza persevered, slapping Dickie while he was down, telling him he didn’t deserve her support, as the crowd booed. She spent a few moments working Dickie over in the corner, choking him on the ropes for a few seconds, before she set Harter up for and connected with the Sammycide (Triangle Knee Strike).
But the pin attempt only got a two count. So Sammie followed up with a rolling elbow shortly after, but that only scored her a two count. With the clock ticking, Rósza appeared to being growing frustrated – especially with a “Lets Go Dickie” chant that started up. She went up top for a moonsault – NO! Harter rolled out of the way. He got back to his feet and lifted Sammie up for the Detonation Kick, before dropping her with the Kill Shot (Boma Ye) for the three count!
Winner: Dickie Harter (10:25)
Harter celebrated his victory after the match, posing on all four turnbuckles as the crowd cheered him on, before the show cut backstage.

The scene cuts backstage where Ricky Vega is standing in front of a camera. No Charlie Blooms in sight this time around. He has his usual backwards cap and a smirk on his face, as he speaks. He says that he came in to SCCW in his mind as a Blue Chip recruit for the brand. That he's athletically gifted, charismatic and pretty enough to carry any brand in the world. He states that once he stepped into SCCW he started a revolution; the old SCCW guard is moving onto bigger things in their careers and he's here to prove himself a hot commodity.
He also says that Charlie was the only one bright enough to see that what he said is true and that's why she's on his side. Together, he says, they will get SCCW to a whole ‘nother level, one that no one would've predicted. But in order to do that, he states, they need to weed out the weak. So tonight, he and Charlie will take out Velma and Veronica Jones, to cement their status as the PRESENT and FUTURE of pro wrestling.
Tag Team Match
Charlie Blooms & Ricky Vega vs. Velma & Veronica Jones
The twins showed some decent team work early on, but soon found themselves on the receiving end of some dirty tactics. Velma got trapped in the corner as Charlie & Ricky as they choked her when the referee wasn’t looking, and double teamed her when they could. In the third minute, Vega scored a two count off a rope hung codebreaker, before the fight back started.
It was Blooms who slipped up. Velma countered the tiger bomb attempt, and dodged Ricky’s oncoming lariat before making the hot tag out to her sister. Veronica climbed up top to connect with a front missile dropkick that took Ricky down, before hitting Charlie Blooms with a springboard reverse DDT. That even earned her a two count, but Charlie kicked out. The Joneses worked together well again, using quick tags to wear Charlie down before, in the seventh minute, Velma connected with a corner springboard tornado DDT.
The Joneses looked to be in full control until, in the ninth minute, Ricky Vega blind tagged himself into the match. Charlie dodged the oncoming clothesline and knocked Velma off the apron with a forearm smash, as Ricky attacked Veronica from behind. A schoolboy and a handful of tights were all it took to secure the three count!
Winners: Charlie Blooms & Ricky Vega (9:05)
After the match, Charlie and Ricky celebrated in the aisle as The Jones Sisters were left fuming in the ring. Veronica tried to explain that her tights were grabbed, but the referee can’t do anything about it now.
Backstage…
The pair of Punisher Bryce Robinson and Big Dil are seen talking to one another. They’re confident that after tonight Melody Marshall will know not to mess with them, and maybe she can be the real her, instead of this fake rock chick that she struts around pretending to be. Because PBR and Big Dil, they don’t like fake ass bitches!
Singles Match
Melody Marshall vs. Punisher Bryce Robinson
Marshall appeared to be up against it from the start as the 360lbs PBR physically dominated her. He caught her with a belly to belly suplex early on, and Melody struggled to recover. The running splash in the corner in the third minute damn near crushed her, but Melody still kicked out at two. She did show signs of life a minute later, when she dropped down the back of a gorilla press slam and took PBR down to one knee with a basement dropkick. The big man was slow to his feet, and fell victim to a shining wizard!
That seemed to be the cue for Big Dil to make an appearance as he ran down the aisle and slid into the ring. The referee tried to stop him, but Dil pushed the official aside and charged at Melody with a lariat – NO! She ducked and Dil hit the rising PBR! The referee called for the bell to throw out the contest as Melody rolled out of the ring to escape the mayhem.
Winner: No Contest (4:15)
With Marshall recovering in the aisle, Big Dil helped PBR back to his feet before Dil turned to glare at Melody…
And he got drilled by a lariat from behind! PBR yelled at his sidekick for costing him the match, and he picked Dil up for a running powerslam that shook the ring! PBR yelled out at Melody, telling her that should’ve happened to her. But she’s still clutching her ribs after that corner splash and wants no part of a rampaging 360 pounder.
