Backstage…
The members of GBH are standing with Claire James, wanting to brag about their victory over an FGA wrestler earlier tonight. Sammie points out that Harper has a great record against FGA wrestlers, having defeated Jimmy Page a few months ago. Sammie continues by saying Miss Fortune is going to use the momentum from this win to win their debut match in SAKURA! Pro next week, and go on to become the number one contender for the title…
But their bragging is interrupted by former Rising Star Champion, Dickie Harter. He says that he’s ‘glad’ GBH are so proud of themselves for cheating to win, or screwing people out of their opportunities. Dickie remembers what Sammie did to him at Learning to Fly, and he’s not about to let it slide. Harper and Miss Fortune step forward to defend their manager, when suddenly The Swole Mates appear on the scene to make the save! The six of them brawl for a few moments until staff arrive to break them up, and Ben Hanson appears.
Hanson confirms that at Overload as well as the GBH vs The Swole Mates match that was confirmed on the last show, we’ll also see Sammie Rósza versus Dickie Harter! And GBH will be banned from ringside for that one. GBH are angered by the news, but Dickie, Pattie, and Bricklyn all seem content with themselves as the show cuts back to ringside.
Tag Team Match
Adam & Chino vs. The Swole Mates
The two teams put on a solid encounter from start to finish; Adam & Chino, dressed up as Batman and Robin, took the advantage early on, using their experience to get one over on their opponents. The moves came thick and fast as they worked over Pattie Pearce, even going so far as to score a two count off an Adam Dragomirov swinging Michinoku Driver. But Bricklyn made the save.
The #1 Contenders pushed on, however, as Chino went on the connect with a step up kick in the corner, followed up right after with a shining wizard. But again, Bricklyn made the save. By the seventh minute The Swole Mates, who were dressed up as two of the Ghostbusters, had finally found their footing; Pattie countered an Irish whip attempt with a pop-up flip piledriver out of nowhere, and she was able to make the hot tag out to Granger! Bricklyn showed off her brute strength, hitting Chino with a king kong lariat, before Adam got taken down by a Samoan drop. She performed the ‘come on’ taunt, beckoning her opponents back to their feet – before Dragomirov took her down with a spinebuster!
Unfortunately for everyone involved, that’s as far as the match got. The Caffiends ran down the aisle to attack Adam & Chino, causing a DQ. But they didn’t count on The Swole Mates helping out the #1 contenders. The champions found themselves at a 4 on 2 disadvantage, when GBH appeared! They managed to get a few shots in, but the faces soon overcame the odds and knocked three of their opponents out of the ring, leaving Dewey Dresden to fall victim to a diving European uppercut/German suplex combo from Adam & Chino, before he rolled out of the ring.
Winner: Double Disqualification (7:03)
Previously Recorded…
We’re in the training gym for Sussex County Championship Wrestling. Usually a busy place, but inside is only Wally Lee. He’s working with his training dummies clads in his training gear. He’s drenched in sweat as he slowly makes his way to the camera. Wally holds up a taped fist for the camera before he opens his mouth to speak.
Wally says that since he’s arrived to SCCW he’s seen nothing but success. He says that he’s made it this far because he has respect for this company and respect for this gym. He continues saying that he ultimately has respect for himself. He stops for a minute hanging his head as the eerie stillness of the gym takes over. The sounds of the fluorescent lights hum slightly before Wally lifts his face back up to continue.
He says that his respect for himself has started to gain the respect of his peers and the fans both in SCCW and abroad during his travels in Europe. He punches his open palm when he empathically states that, the fans, the wrestlers, they all know that whenever he brings it, he’s bringing everything. He says that he can’t say the same for a “champion” like Murph B. He says that Murph has plotted, stole, and shortcutted her way into that belt she has. He states that while Murph was doing that, he was in the gym, and working his ass of in his all of his matches because he knows that one day his time will come.
He says that when that time comes there will be no one that can doubt that he earned it and that he deserved it. He says that Murph didn’t earn that championship, and that the only thing she deserves is to get humbled by someone like him. He starts to close by saying that she can pretend to not know who he is… That she can carry on thinking that SCCW’s rising star is her… But eventually the truth will breakthrough all the lies and all the bullshit…
He brings his first up once again saying, “I’m your truth Murph… Now are you brave enough to face the truth?”
Eight Man Tag Match
Big Dil, Rocky Rhodes, Ricky Vega, Charlie Blooms vs. Melody Marshall, Velma Jones, Veronica Jones, Wally Lee
Not a particularly clean match by any means. The referee struggled to maintain order as the heels took every opportunity to try and get one over on their opponents. Ricky & Charlie mainly focused on the Jones sisters, leaving Big Dil and Rocky to focus on Melody and Wally Lee.
But with some encouragement from the crowd, the faces were able to turn their luck around. Rocky got knocked out of the ring with a double clothesline, giving Wally Lee the chance to fly with a handspring moonsault over the top rope, before Melody took down Big Dil with a tornado DDT. Veronica soon caught Charlie with a shining wizard, leaving Ricky Vega as the last man standing for his team. The Joneses hit him with a spinebuster, before teaming up for a diving legdrop/legdrop to the groin combo, drawing a cheer from the crowd. But the pin attempt could only get a two.
Melody took the opportunity to take some frustrations out on Big Dil after his comments last time; she wore the big man down with some vicious strikes, working him over in the corner. But Dil was able to drop her with a belly-to-belly suplex after catching her to give his team an opening. Rocky Rhodes hit the ring and dropped Melody with a piledriver before covering, but Wally made the save. Mayhem broke out again as all eight competitors hit the ring one by one. But in the end it was Wally Lee who hit Rocky with the Kotaru Krusher, followed by a Melody Marshall shining wizard as she was able to pick up the three count.
Winners: Melody Marshall, Velma Jones, Veronica Jones, Wally Lee (10:45)
After the match, the faces celebrated at ringside while the heel argued between themselves. Ricky and Charlie were upset with their partners for letting those “pendejas” get a win over them. Unsurprisingly, Rocky and Dil don’t take too kindly to that and push comes to shove before finally everyone leave the ring without it coming to blows.
Backstage…
The lights flicker in the locker room, but the figure of Brutus is evident for all to see. The looming giant moves towards the camera, lurching forward one step at a time between flickers before, finally, the camera gets a close up of his face. “Soon…” is all he can say before the show cuts back to ringside.
Backstage…
The Rising Star champion, Murph B made her presence felt backstage. She was adamant that she was going to be the greatest Rising Star champion in SCCW history; she managed to defeat Dickie in that ladder match, has successfully defended it already, and will now go on to beat the SCCW champion himself – so she’s not just the best Rising Star Champion, but THE best champion in SCCW!
And she wonders why Wally Lee wants to step up and challenge her. As if he hasn’t learned from the likes of Madison Bennett and Dickie Harper. But, whatever, if Wally Lee wants to be the next to fall in line then so be it! In two weeks time Murph will defend her title against him, but tonight? She’s got a Thunderbelly to defeat.
Singles Match
Brutus vs. Dickie Harter
Dickie Harter earned a large pop from the crowd for his Captain America outfit, but unfortunately for him his night went downhill from there. Brutus used his size and strength to dominate the early goings, utilizing a series of body slams, powerslams, and suplexes to wear Harter down. But nothing that could keep him down for the three count.
By the fifth minute, Harter did manage to find an opening. He managed to avoid a corner attack, causing Brutus to stumble backwards before Dickie vaulted into the ring with a springboard corner roundhouse kick. Dickie continued to press the advantage, using his speed to hit a Kotaru Krusher, headscissors takedown and a meteora among other moves. But Brutus kept kicking out of each pin attempt. The ninth minute rolled around and Brutus caught Dickie in midair, countering his springboard attack with a big boot!
The momentum shifted and Brutus slowly picked his opponent apart, dropping Dickie with a vivious looking headbutt at one point. A choke slam connected in the eleventh minute and it looked like curtains for Dickie Harter, before he got lifted up for a powerbomb – NO! Harter fought his way out with punches to the face, before countering with a hurricanrana pin for the three count!
Winner: Dickie Harter (11:39)
After the match, Dickie quickly scrambled to the outside to put some distance between himself and Brutus; the demon angrily sat up in the ring and grabbed the referee by the throat, before he chokeslammed him. Harter watched on in horror as Brutus looked back in his direction – but Thunderbelly charged down the aisle with Mjolnir in hand! Apparently he’s gone for a Thor themed costume.
But the lights turn out as Thunderbelly hits the ring, and Brutus is gone by the time they come back up. The demon’s laughter can be heard over the sound system as he whispers again “Soon…” letting Thunderbelly know that he’s coming for that belt at Overload.
With her opponent already in the ring, Murph B appeared dressed as Wonder Woman, ready to start the main event!

Singles Match
Thunderbelly vs. Murph B
Either there were some Marvel fanboys in attendance, or the SCCW fans just don’t like Murph B, as they rallied behind Thunderbelly throughout the contest. The champion fought valiantly early on, overpowering the imposing Amazonian figure of Murph; a pumphandle backbreaker and release German suplex were among the early highlights as Thunderbelly asserted his dominance. But they weren’t enough to put the Rising Star Champion away for the three count.
The fourth minute rolled around and Murph found a way back into the match, countering a hiptoss attempt with a hiptoss backbreaker of her own. From there she spent a couple of minutes focusing on Thunderbelly’s back. Some vicious soccer kicks connected to the seated Storm Bearer, before Murph hit the inverted headlock backbreaker. But he kicked out of the pin attempt. Thunderbelly nearly got back into the match in the seventh minute as he caught Murph’s crossbody attempt. But she raked his eyes as he shifted her up onto his shoulder, giving Murph the upper hand again.
She managed to connect with a belly-to-belly backbreaker, but still Thunderbelly kicked out. The Rising Star champion appeared to be growing frustrated, and it caused her to lower her guard. An Irish whip attempt let Thunderbelly connect with an ax bomber, knocking Murph down! He followed with the Thunderclap (running palm strike), before lifting Murph up for the airplane spin! The crowd cheered as Murph staggered around the ring in a daze, before Thunderbelly dropped her with the Green Power Thunderbomb (Blue Thunderpowerbomb) – but only for a two count.
The champion continued pressing his advantage for a couple more minutes, blocking off Murph’s attempt to get back into the match; the mafia kick attempt was countered by an exploder suplex, the back body drop attempt was met by a boot to the face. And a Ride the Lightning (Running Turnbuckle Powerbomb) in the twelfth minute looked to have things sewn up for Thunderbelly – when the lights started to flicker again! Thunderbelly called out the “vile demon” and demanded Brutus reveal himself. But the distraction allowed Murph B to low blow him, and roll Thunderbelly up with a handful of tights for the three count!
Winner: Murph B (12:03)
After the match, Murph B posed with her Rising Star title as the crowd continued to boo her. She proclaimed herself the greatest champion in SCCW as the show came to an end.
