Backstage…
Ricky is walking backstage after his match. He’s gloating in his victory as he takes the wrist tape off. As he walks past a couple of wrestlers backstage he smirks, but when he returns his eyes to the hallway he’s met with Charlie Blooms who doesn’t seem to be happy about Ricky’s act.
Charlie tells him that what he’s doing is the wrong way to approach things and rambles about how she thinks things should be done. Ricky simply puts his index finger up and asks her to shut up. He tells Charlie that he does things his way, it yields results and until they don’t, he won’t change a thing.
Ricky also tells Charlie that she’s like every other white girl in America, always wanting things to be the way they want it, and when they don’t, they bitch about it. Charlie retorts that she’s not what he thinks she is and that she will prove it to him. That Ricky will regret his words towards her.
Fatal Fourway Match
Sarah Campbell vs. Cordozar Parrish vs. Akilah Khan vs. Ash Fi
Akilah Khan got the worst of it right out the gate as Sarah Campbell seemed eager to impress. The Scotswoman used her brawling prowess as she threw forearm smashes and elbow strikes from every angle. But her other opponents wouldn’t let her get the three count.
Cordozar Parrish seemed pissed off as he grabbed Sarah by the hair and tossed her over the top rope, telling her to stay out of his ring. He hits Akilah Khan with some strikes before going for a big time vertical suplex, but his pin attempt was broken up by Ash Fi at the count of two. That seemed to be an affront to Cordozar Parrish, who slapped the taste out of Ash’s mouth before the two started duking it out. Cordozar seemed to be getting the upper hand as he had Ash backed into the corner, before Sarah re-entered the fray.
She was seen gulping down an Irn Bru on the outside before she hit the ring and tossed Cordozar Parrish around with reckless abandon. A hiptoss here, a body slam there, before culminating in a big time German suplex that she managed to hit almost perfectly! Commentator, Ryan Savage noted her increased work rate in the SCCW gym appears to be paying off. But it wasn’t enough for a three count.
Ash Fi broke up the pin attempt before brawling with Campbell; the Welshwoman eventually getting the upper hand as she took Sarah down with a ripcord short arm lariat! The fans were rallying behind her as Ash Fi psyched herself up, and managed to hit a rising Sarah Campbell with the Crann Tabhaill (Springboard Corkscrew Roundhouse kick) before going for a cover…
NO! Cordozar threw her off Campbell and out of the ring, before covering her himself. Cordozar managed to steal the three count and pick up the win.
Winner: Cordozar Parrish (6:27)
After the match, Cordozar ‘kicked dirt’ in the face of an unconscious Sarah Campbell as Ash Fi was only just picking herself up on the outside. She realized this was a bitter pill to swallow, especially after her recent loss at High Voltage. Even Jimmy Jam Ronie on the commentary table noted that she’ll have to do some serious work to get out of this slump she’s in.
Ringside…
"The Show Goes On" by Lupe Fiasco blared over the speakers of the Henlopen High School, as the fans hopped to their feet to welcome Madison Bennett down to ringside. Madi, wearing her normal wrestling attire made her way down to ringside slapping as many of the hands as she could get to of the outstretched fans. She stands next to the ring and ask's for a microphone.
"A few weeks ago, at High Voltage, ten of the SCCW hottest rising talent, stepped into this ring right here and did each and every one of our best to come out as the SCCW Rising Star Champion!"
The crowd roared at the mention of the new title and the match that took place a few short weeks ago.
"Sadly, though, just our best in the confines of the ring wasn't enough! But I won't bore you with things you all already know. Nope. I am out here to say to the SCCW Rising Star Champion, Dickie Harter, that you are a champion that I can fully respect. You, my friend are someone that all of these fans, and myself, can look up to! You watched the tapes and saw what happened and as the class act you are, are willing to try and make things right!"
The crowd cheers for the Rising Star Champion as Madison stood there pumping them up and hyping Dickie.
"Dickie Harter, I accept! Let's give these people the match they want, no deserve to see!"
Bennett hands the mic back over as she slides into the ring ready for her match.
Singles Match
Madison Bennett vs. Zoe Dupont
The match started with Zoe Dupont as the aggressor; she used her speed and agility to evade Madison’s attacks, as Ryan Savage noted that Bennett looked to be staying calm despite this. But after a DDT in the second minute, Dupont was able to pick up a near fall.
Bennett was able to find her footing in the third minute, however. After being knocked onto the apron with a dropkick, she was able to pick herself up while Dupont posed for the crowd. But a high kick had Zoe reeling, and doubled over as Madison debuted her slingshot corkscrew neckbreaker, much to the delight of the fans in attendance.
Bennett pressed her advantage for a couple of minutes, playing to the crowd between moves as she hit Zoe with a cornered running double knee strike and a standing double foot stomp among other moves. But nothing that could get a three count. Dupont did manage to get back into the match after an eye rake in the sixth minute, but her sequence of snap suplexes got countered by a small package as Madison Bennett picked up the three count.
Winner: Madison Bennett (5:54)
After the match, however, Madison was greeted in the aisle by Murph B, who sarcastically congratulated her on a hard fought victory – it’s just a shame she couldn’t have done that in the battle royal!
But, again, Madison managed to remain calm as Murph left, laughing as she went.
Backstage…
The two members of GBH are seen celebrating their win earlier tonight in a short interview; Harper Hill claims that the two of them toppled some huge names at High Voltage, and the time for GBH is now.
Miss Fortune continued saying that Adam & Chino obviously aren’t championship material, otherwise The Caffiends wouldn’t still have those belts. But their reign at the top is coming to an end soon, when GBH claim those titles as their own. The pair blow kisses to the camera before making the belt motion around their waists, as the show cuts back to ringside.
Singles Match
Dickie Harter vs. Caintigern
With a contrast in styles this one seemed interesting on paper, but both competitors brought their A-games. Harter took the lead early on, using his strikes to try and overpower the Irishwoman; some rapid fire chops to the chest, forearm strikes, a lariat her and there and Cait was on the back foot.
Until the third minute anyway, when she countered an Irish whip with a standing double foot stomp. The match spilled out of the ring shortly thereafter, where Cait threw her opponent into the steps and guard rail, where she unleashed some fierce chops to the chest, much to the chagrin of the fans in attendance. Jimmy Jam Ronie noted that Caintigern was widely despised by the SCCW fans, but that both these two wrestlers would be representing SCCW in the upcoming Rookie X Cup.
The match re-entered the ring soon after, where Cait followed up her attacks with a spinning headlock elbow drop and a corner slingshot elbow drop. But Dickie kept kicking out of the pin attempts. By the seventh minute, however, Dickie did manage to find a way back into the match. He ducked under a short arm lariat and countered with a desperation Hartercanrana (Inverted Hurricanrana), but Caintigern managed to escape under the bottom rope before Dickie could cover. This gave Dickie the chance to perform the boo/cheer taunt, getting the crowd to cheer him some more.
With his opponent on the outside, Dickie hit a handspring moonsault over the top rope, much to the delight of the fans! But he wasn’t done there, as he followed up with a meteora off the ring apron. He tried to take the action back into the ring, but a resilient Cait managed to catch him with a rolling spear as he slid in after her. Both competitors were down momentarily, when Sammie Rósza appeared at the top of the aisle.
She came down to ringside to cheer Dickie on, but he had to lean over the rope to ask her to leave. Which, unfortunately for him, left Dickie for a modified Blackwater No. 5 (Tiger Feint Kick), before Cait launched herself across the ring with Brass Magnum (Superman Punch)! And that was enough for a win over the Rising Star Champion!
Winner: Caintigern (7:54)
After the match, Cait rolled Dickie out and told Sammie to get him outta her sight as she basked in the crowd’s boos and jeers. But a distraught Sammie ran away with her face in her hands, leaving Dickie to pick himself up on the outside.
Backstage…
Cameras open in the back focused on Z looking at himself in a mirror, which earns a chorus of boos. He winks at his reflection before turning around, and the camera pans out to reveal the tag team champions, The Caffiends, to an even bigger negative reaction.
“Alright boys. You might be used to main events by now, but this is my very first. The tools on the other side have no business being in the main event, let alone being in the same ring as us, so let's go out there and show them what it's like stepping between the ropes with some real athletes,” Z offers a fist to Dewey and Sullivan. “I win this match, I show Hanson I deserve my spot in the tournament. Time for you guys to repay that favor.”
Z smirks, fist still outstretched. Dewey and Sullivan glance at each other a moment, before looking back at his fists and each tapping one with nods. “We got you.”
Backstage…
Dickie Harter is seen backstage, walking briskly through the corridors before he knocks on a locker room door. He opens it to find Sammie Rósza inside, practically on the verge of tears. She’s sat in the corner of the room with her knees up by her chest as she explains that she didn’t mean to cost Dickie his match earlier tonight.
Harter doesn’t seem concerned too much about that, and instead wants to know why she’s been acting so strangely recently. Sammie seems almost offended by the word “strange”, but recomposes herself before she explains that she knew Dickie would become the Rising Star champion at High Voltage, but she wanted to help him anyway so he’d have another title belt to go along with the one he won in Portland Pro…
Which is a brilliant segue way for Dickie to ask about the time Sammie got him DQ’ed for interfering in his match against Jacob Steele. But before Sammie can answer that one, she starts crying and says that she doesn’t want Dickie to be mad at her anymore. And Harter is sympathetic to her plight. He helps his friend up off the floor and gives her a big hug, telling Sammie he’s not mad at her, but she’s got to stop doing this kinda thing. She promises she won’t help Dickie win any more matches by interfering, and the show cuts back to ringside for the main event.
Ringside…
"Waiting Room" hits the speakers and from the back steps Papa Z flanked by Rocky Rhodes and Big Dil. He calls out via megaphone for the crowd to get a glimpse of his monsters before Rocky hits the ring and snatches a microphone.
"If it isn't bout time that I got put where I belong in the main event of an SCW show. I been bustin my ass every week and taking names and making statements and proving to all of you stupid ass idiots that I am Rocky Rhodes and I am unequivalently the best in the bidness."
Rocky pauses for a moment as Big Dil and Papa Z applaud his sentimonies.
"And after I beat Carpethair and finished her once and for all I'm here to claim the place of my own where I belong in the main event at the top of the card in CSC...SW. I'm the best in the bidness. I'm Rocky Rhodes. And now I'm putting on notice on all- notice for all the puppy hugging champions in this company that I'm done playing around with stupid ass idiots like Cradlegrapes and I'm not going to stop steamrolling the competition until I'm the last man standing her in SCW and I have all the gold!"
Papa Z screeches "all the gold" into his megaphone as Rocky tosses the microphone away and bumps fists with Big Dil.
MAIN EVENT
Six Man Tag Team Match
The Caffiends & Z vs. Rocky Rhodes, Big Dil & Punisher Bryce Robinson
All hell broke loose from the opening bell as the six men paired off in separate corners of the ring; Rocky and Dewey were in one trading blows, Sullivan and Big Dil in another, while Punisher Bryce Robinson managed to overpower Z and back him into a corner as well. To the surprise of some fans it was Papa Z’s men and PBR who gain the upper hand; PBR clotheslines Z over the top rope, while Big Dil and Rocky cause the tag champs to butt heads before delivering back suplexes.
Normal service was resumed by the second minute as Big Dil continued working over Sullivan Pibb in the corner; utilizing shoulder thrusts and clotheslines to try and wear the champ down. But it took a sidewalk slam before the first pin attempt, which got a two count. They did manage to keep the advantage until the fourth minute, when Rocky Rhodes had a piledriver attempt reversed! That’s when Sullivan burst to life; he knocked Big Dil and PBR off the apron with forearm shots, before taking Rocky down with a huge discus lariat! And the tag was made to Dewey Dresden.
Dresden controlled the action for a minute or so, showing off his strength as he took Rhodes down with a back suplex and a vertical suplex, before tagging in Z. With a significant size difference, Z was sure to use his speed to his advantage as he flew at Rocky from all directions. He scored a near fall off a springboard stunner, as well as The Brute (STO).
But then things went wrong.
PBR blind tagged himself in, and blindsided Z from behind with a King Kong lariat! He then knocked The Caffiends off the apron with forearm smashes before turning his attention back to Z; the referee was distracted while stopping The Caffiends from getting back into the ring, allowing PBR and Big Dil took turns to deliver splashes to Z. Each man weighing over 300 pounds. But when the referee turned to count the pin attempt, he only counted two before Z kicked out!
The match entered the ninth minute before Z finally found a way back into the match. He held onto the top rope as PBR went for the Irish whip, and managed to pull down the top rope as PBR, charged in after him, sending the big man tumbling to the outside. That allowed Dewey Dresden to get the tag in, just as Big Dil hit the ring.
And just as Big Dil got nailed by a spear! Rocky tried to enter the ring, but Sullivan Pibb knocked him off the apron. Z managed to nail Big Dil with The Brute, then The Caffiends turned to Big Dil too. They opted to hit “Schweppet” (Russian Legsweep/Backbreaker combination) and picked up a three count.
Winners: The Caffiends and Z (9:11)
Papa Z tried to protest to the referee that Big Dil wasn’t the legal man, but the referee wasn’t hearing any of it as the tag champions celebrated with the man who helped them originally win the belts. Inside the ring, Papa Z and his men were pissed off at having the match stolen from them, but they couldn’t do anything about it as the show came to an end.
