Ringside…
Ben Hanson, fresh off his appearance at Frontier Con on Friday night, makes his way down the aisle. He has a black velvet bag in his hands, which causes some excitement among the fans as Hanson starts speaking; he talks about how six months he started SCCW to help train the future stars of FGA and the World Crown Syndicate.
He talks about how The Caffiends are over in SSWA doing their thing in the trios division, Miss Fortune is making waves in NKP; GBH have appeared in CCP and Broadway Championship Wrestling; Dickie Harter has appeared in BCW, and is the Rose City Champion in Portland Pro, and has wrestled in FGA, as has Caintigern; Sammie Rósza recently appeared in BCW too. Even Brutus was the Karnage Pro champion before they shut down. He talks about how Madison Bennett, Chino Hills, Caintigern, Dickie Harter, Miss Fortune, and Harper Hill will be appearing in the Rookie X Cup next month. And Ben couldn’t be prouder of what his students have already accomplished elsewhere and thus far in their careers.
But he realizes that SCCW has grown over the last six months, and just having one title isn’t enough anymore. So he made a decision a few weeks ago to bring in a title for the newer signings to compete for. For those who still have something to learn, who are destined for greatness. The RISING STARS! With that he unveils the title belt that ten wrestlers will soon be competing for, drawing a loud cheer from the crowd. Hanson leaves the ring shortly thereafter, but not before wishing all the competitors good luck in the battle royal!
SCCW Rising Star Championship
Battle Royal
Madison Bennett, Charlie Blooms, Murph B, Darcy James, Bricklyn Granger, Ferris Serantos, Punisher Bryce Robinson, Danny Hope Jr., Dickie Harter, and Sammie Rósza
The match started frantically as all ten competitors made a beeline for someone; Murph B went for Madison Bennett, Punisher Bryce Robinson went for Dickie Harter, Sammie Rósza went for Danny Hope Jr, Darcy James went for Bricklyn Granger, and Ferris Serantos went for Charlie Blooms. And, much to the surprise of most fans, Charlie was able to eliminate Ferris Serantos rather quickly as she ducked a clothesline and tossed him over the top rope with a back body drop counter.
Eliminated: Ferris Serantos by Charlie Blooms (0:34)Unfortunately for Charlie, that made her a target for Punisher Bryce Robinson. The big man pushed her into the corner with Dickie and sandwiched them both with an avalanche attack. As he tried to eliminate Dickie, however, Sammie Rósza made the save with a chopblock. Soon there were four people all ganging up on the three hundred pounder, trying to eliminate him. Only for PBR to swat them all away.
Danny Hope Jr was next to go as his cockiness got the better of him. He had Bricklyn Granger down on the mat after a neckbreaker, and was stood over her taunting – when Sammie Rósza ran in with a dropkick that knocked Hope forwards and over the top rope!
Eliminated: Danny Hope Jr by Sammie Rósza (2:18)Sammie went soon after, as Murph B snuck up behind her and grabbed her by the hair and waist band in order to throw Sammie over the top.
Eliminated: Sammie Rósza by Murph B (2:25)Dickie leapt to the defense of his friend, battling Murph B in the corner as PBR continued to dominate on the other side of the ring. He used clubbing blows to keep Madison, Charlie, and Bricklyn down before locking Darcy James in a bearhug. He used that position to drive Darcy back into the corner, before he dumped Darcy over the top rope.
Eliminated: Darcy James by Punisher Bryce Robinson (3:48)PBR went after Dickie again, saving Murph B from being eliminated in the process. A King Kong lariat by PBR sent the PPW Rose City Champion ass over teakettle, but Charlie Blooms got back to her feet. She nailed PBR from behind with a dropkick that sent the big man staggering towards the ropes. Bricklyn Granger charged at him, but PBR sidestepped and eliminated Granger.
Eliminated: Bricklyn Granger by Punisher Bryce Robinson (5:02)Shortly after, Charlie found herself in a gorilla press position as PBR tossed her over the top rope onto the recently eliminated Bricklyn Granger to rack up his third elimination.
Eliminated: Charlie Blooms by Punisher Bryce Robinson (5:11)And then there were four. Unfortunately for PBR, all three of his opponents realized who the greatest threat in this match was. Murph went first, albeit from behind, as she doubled PBR over with a low blow. The others felt a little apprehensive about capitalizing on that, but Dickie Harter stepped up with a tornado DDT that drove PBR head first into the mat. The three of them stomp at PBR as he’s down on the mat, but they can’t keep the Alaskan down.
Madison tries with her running double knee strike, followed by a running step up kick in the corner by Murph B. Dickie tries next as he charges in with a jumping corner splash – NO! PBR catches Dickie in his arms and goes to drop him over the top, but Dickie lands on the apron. He keeps hold of Robinson’s neck as Madison and Murph sneak up behind PBR to push him out over the top rope!
Eliminated: Punisher Bryce Robinson by Dickie Harter, Madison Bennett, and Murph B (6:56)Harter quickly rolled back into the ring before either of his opponents could eliminate him as well, and then there were three. Murph B impressed the fans as she took the fight to the babyfaces; she showed off the inverted headlock backbreaker that she’s learned recently, which took down Dickie. But Madison wasn’t so easy. She took Murph down with a standing double foot stomp, before taking the chance to impress the fans herself.
Madison had Dickie in the corner in the ninth minute as she set him up for the Dream Sequence (Corner Running Step Up Kick)! Murph followed her in, hitting Dickie with the same move herself before Murph claimed that she did it better! That caused an argument between her and Madison as the two went at it again, culminating in Madison clotheslining Murph B over the top rope for the elimination!
Eliminated: Murph B by Madison Bennett (9:25)Murph didn’t take kindly to that, yelling up at Madison that she’d get her back for this one as the referees tried to eject her from ringside. The distraction allowed Dickie time to recover, though, and he spun Madison Bennett around to nail her with some hard rights. Harter finally had the chance to shine as he hit Madison with a tornado DDT and a dragon suplex before going up top. Harter leapt off the turnbuckle with a moonsault – NO! Madison rolled out of the way and Harter crashed and burned in the ring!
Both competitors were down for a moment, when Sammie Rósza reappeared. The referees at ringside couldn’t stop her from entering the ring as she tried to nail Madison Bennett with a rolling elbow – NO! Madison Bennett ducked under the elbow and dropkicked Sammie backwards and through the ropes to the outside. That’s when Murph B, who still hadn’t been ejected, got up onto the apron to distract Madison. Behind her, a groggy Dickie Harter got back to his feet and saw Madison with her back turned. He delivered a dropkick that sent Bennett stumbling forward, and Murph pulled down the top rope so she’d fall over more easily!
Winner and NEW SCCW RISING STAR CHAMPION: Dickie Harter (11:21)
After the match, Sammie Rósza slid into the ring to present Dickie with his new title. Harter didn’t even notice that she was at ringside, so seemed surprised by her being there so quickly. Regardless, he celebrated on the turnbuckles, confused by the mixed reaction from the crowd.
Murph B decided that now would be a good time to head backstage as Madison Bennett picked herself up on the outside, fully aware that she’s just been screwed out of a title by Murph and Sammie. She looks up at Dickie celebrating with the title and gives him a nod, just to tell him that this one isn’t over yet.
Backstage…
We cut to the backstage area where Adam Dragomirov is pacing, throwing a fist into the wall each time he approaches it as some type of warm-up. Chino Hills laughs a bit, watching him from a cross-legged position on the ground, in the midst of doing simple meditation. “Shouldn’t we be saving it for the champs?”
Adam stops, leaning his head against the wall. “We shouldn’t have needed help last week. Thunderbelly shouldn’t have had to bail us out of anything. We shouldn’t have struggled like that against Jester and Harper. Or anyone. I don’t care what was distracting us.” He mutters expletives under his breath, throwing a punch into the wall again, resuming his methodical pacing.
“Momentum’s weird,” Chino says, softly. “Maybe we don’t have too much of it.” He unfolds his legs, leaning back on his palms. “We get better every week though. Stronger every week. It’s only a matter of time, love.” The familiar, warm smile crosses Chino’s face. “Tonight is the ti--.”
“They need to pay for making us look like idiots week after week,” Adam interrupts. “There’s NO reason you and I aren’t champions!”
Chino sighs, angling his head at Adam. “I agree. So… let’s not compromise that.” He stands up, moving over to grab Adam’s fist before it can connect with the wall again. Adam nods a little, taking a series of deep breaths. He looks at Chino for a long moment in silence before he turns and walks out of the locker room. Chino smiles faintly. “Ohhh, he’s sooo angryyy…” His smile broadens and he follows after his friend while the scene fades on the empty dressing room.
SCCW Tag Team Championship
Tag Team Match
The Caffiends (c) vs. Adam & Chino
The champions got things underway early, attacking their opponents before the bell as Dewey targeted Adam, while Sullivan went after Chino. It was Dragomirov who got tossed out the ring as The Caffiends double teamed Chino Hills for a moment, hitting an inverted atomic drop/lariat combo that picked up a two count.
But the plucky young challengers got back into the match in the third minute, when Chino reversed an Irish whip by Sullivan Pibb, sending the champion against the ropes, before he got caught by a standing double foot stomp! Adam got the tag in from his partner and pulled off a spinebuster for the two count, before Dewey made the save for his team.
The challengers did give The Caffiends a scare in the fifth minute, when Chino hit Sullivan Pibb with a corner step up kick. But again Dewey made the save. Dresden even gave his partner the opening necessary in the sixth minute when he caught Dragomirov with a knee to the back, right when the challenger his the ropes. Dresden got the tag in and used his size advantage to hit Adam with a spear, and drop Chino with a gutbuster.
But try as he might, Dresden couldn’t get a three count; a ”Code Red” (Cobra Clutch Backbreaker) on Adam only got two, and even a Dew Drop” (Crucifix Powerbomb) on Chino only got a two count. But he was saved by Adam. The champions looked set to end this in the tenth minute; they had Adam in place for the Live Wire Ride (powerbomb/neckbreaker combo) – NO! A chopblock by Chino took Dewey down, with Adam landing with a seated senton. Sullivan got caught by a Pele kick that sent him stumbling back into the corner, and Chino followed up with a handspring back elbow before Sullivan rolled out of the ring.
Adam & Chino were left alone with Dewey Dresden as the champion clutched his knee in pain. They pulled him back up and performed a double team suplex, before bringing him back up again. This time Chino went for a bulldog, driving Dewey Dresden face first across Adam’s knee – and the fans thought that was it!
NO!
Sullivan pulled Adam off his partner in time to make the save. He dragged Dragomirov out of the ring and threw him back into the guardrail, before Adam got sent headlong into the ring post. The referee was busy holding Chino, until Hills go free and went after Pibb on the outside.
But that just left Dewey Dresden to bring Adam back into the ring to nail him with ”Coming Down the Mountain” (Over the Shoulder Cutter) for the three count.
Winners and STILL SCCW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS: The Caffiends (13:43)
Singles Match
Harper Hill vs. Thunderbelly
Thunderbelly had the full support of the fans from the first bell to the last here as he made his way down to the aisle with his rather large hammer. However, it was a Thunderclap (Running Palm Strike) early on had Harper on the back foot as she soon found herself backed into a corner. From there Thunderbelly had to Sound the War Drums! (Multiple Forearm Clubs to an Opponent's Chest) and the crowd counted along with each one! He went for the early pin attempt after a pumphandle backbreaker, but Harper kicked out at two.
The onslaught continued into the fourth minute as Thunderbelly set Harper up for an airplane spin – only to get raked across the eyes! Hill bought herself some recovery time after hitting "Bang to Rights" (Springboard Stunner), laying out Thunderbelly. She did score a two count off a headscissors driver, but Thunderbelly wasn’t down for long.
Harper continued pressing the advantage until she had her opponent in the corner, whereupon she delivered a cartwheel back elbow, before throwing Thunderbelly out through the ropes. Hill stepped out onto the apron to perform a penalty kick as the action spilled out of the ring. The pair brawled around ringside, with Harper throwing Thunderbelly into the steps and guard rail to try and wear him down. A "Poppy Plunge" (Ripcord Jumping Neckbreaker) on the outside appeared to have done the trick, but Harper could only get a two count by the time she’d rolled Thunderbelly back into the ring for the cover.
The eighth minute rolled around before Thunderbelly eventually got back into the match; he countered an Irish whip to the corner with a big boot, before he threw Harper back into the corner. More forearm shots were delivered, and the crowd loved it as Thunderbelly made his opponent Ride the Lightning (Running Turnbuckle Powerbomb, followed with a European Uppercut). But the pin attempt could only get a two count.
Harper showed great resiliency over the next couple of minutes as she survived the Fury of the Storm (A series of rolling European Uppercuts finished with a rolling Polish Hammer) and Thunderstruck (Swinging Sideslam Backbreaker) – with accompanying sound effects! – before Thunderbelly looked set to finish this one. He set Harper up for the airplane spin again – only for the referee to get clocked by Harper’s legs!
Thunderbelly immediately stopped the move to check on the official as Harper struggled to get back to her feet. Fortunately for her, she was helped out by Miss Fortune running down the aisle. She went to grab Thunderbelly’s hammer – but couldn’t budge it! Not even an inch! She did manage to catch the attention of Thunderbelly, however, who told her to “begone” … before Harper Hill caught him with a low blow from behind. She got back up and bent Thunderbelly over backwards for the "Maidstone Mayhem" (Rolling Cutter), and the referee came to just in time to count the three.
Winner: Harper Hill (12:27)
After the match, Harper celebrated in the ring as Miss Fortune cheered her on from ringside – still secretly trying, and failing, to move Thunderbelly’s hammer. But Harper has to scamper from the ring as Thunderbelly regains consciousness shortly after.
GBH celebrate at the top of the aisle as Thunderbelly grabs him hammer, lifting it with ease, before GBH disappear out of harm’s way. The Storm Bearer doesn’t look overly pleased with how things went down tonight, but at least the crowd continue to chant his name.

MAIN EVENT
SCCW Championship
Brutus (c) vs. Malika (w/ Jasmine)
Malika made an extravagant entrance for this match, being escorted to the ring by a gaggle of men, all fanning her with oversized palm leaves. Jasmine followed behind. Her plans may have gone out of the window, however, when all of the men ran for the hills at the sight of Brutus.
The SCCW Champion entered the ring and was quickly attacked by the challenger; Malika targeted the legs of the big man, hitting a chopblock to try and take him down. But Brutus stayed on his feet. So she went for a dropkick. But Brutus stayed upright. An Irish whip towards the corner was attempted, but Brutus reversed that and charged in after Malika with a running clothesline.
From there the champion was relentless; he peppered Malika with headbutts and clubbing blows, even throwing her over the top rope into Jasmine’s arms with a gorilla press slam at one point. Malika realized in the third minute that maybe this was going to be more difficult than she first thought, and she tried to leave. Both her and Jasmine were half way up the aisle when the lights went out.
Moments later, when the lights came back up, both women were in the ring with Brutus. A big boot knocked Malika down, before Brutus turned his attention to Jasmine. She was shaking as Brutus lunged forward with a clothesline that knocked her head over heels. An Irish whip followed, and Brutus delivered a fierce powerslam. Malika got back to her feet, so Brutus sent her crashing into the turnbuckles with an overhead belly to belly suplex.
Finally, with both Malika and Jasmine seemingly laid to waste, Brutus dragged them both back to their feet by the throat, and delivered a double chokeslam as he pinned them both at the same time for the three count.
Winner and STILL SCCW CHAMPION: Brutus (6:09)
After the match, Brutus held the SCCW Championship high above his head as he laughed maniacally, shouting “who’s going to stop me?” as the lights in the SCCW Arena went out again. When they eventually came back up, Brutus was gone from the ring, and the show ended with the AxxessNet logo.
