Handicap Match
Brutus vs. The Lincoln Bros
The match started as both members of the Lincoln Bros appeared apprehensive about facing the SCCW Champion, even if in a handicap match. As they were discussing tactics in the corner, Brutus stepped towards them … but stopped as he reached the center of the ring. Dean & Sam looked to one another with smiles on their faces as they pointed towards the ceiling of the Sussex Academy whey appear to have painted some sort of ‘trap’. Brutus tried to step forward, but struggled as The Lincolns continued taunting him from a distance.
Until … Brutus persevered and broke free of the shackles that bound him, and all hell broke loose. Dean was quickly dispatched with a couple of clotheslines, before Sam was taken down by a big boot. Dean Lincoln was thrown over the top rope all the way to the outside with a gorilla press slam, leaving his brother alone in the ring with Brutus.
The SCCW Champion hits a charging splash in the corner, before throwing Sam to the mat with an overhead belly to belly. Some mounted elbows strikes to the head followed and Brutus looked set to finish Sam Lincoln off … until Dean jumped back into the ring. Unfortunately for him his crossbody attempt got caught off, and countered with a powerslam. Brutus waited for his opponents to get back to their feet, before he dropped them both with a double chokeslam. A hand on each chest as he picked up the three count.
Winner: Brutus (5:23)
After the match, Brutus’ ‘celebration’ was cut short by the sounds of “Family Tree” by H20; the Georgetown fans cheered as D.J. Ronie stepped out from the back. He congratulated Brutus on his victory at Emergence, when he became the SCCW Champion, before Ronie announced that he hadn’t given up hope of becoming the SCCW Champion.
Ronie made it down to the bottom of the short aisle and up onto the apron, when he was interrupted by “One Reason” by NateWantsToBattle. The fans booed as Malika stepped out from the back and asked what D.J. Ronie thought he was doing. He’d already had a chance to become SCCW Champion and failed, so now he needed to stand aside and let someone deserving have a shot, and nobody is more deserving than Malika herself.
Brutus stared down at both of the competitors who were staking claims for his title, and looked set to speak, when Ben Hanson appeared at the top of the aisle. He made his way to the ring and stood between the three wrestlers. He noted that both Ronie and Malika had valid claims, so what he’d do is make a match for Sunday Night Slams #8, where the pair of them would compete in a number one contender’s match! The fans seemed to be pleased with that as they cheered, before Brutus posed with his title belt held in the air. The lights went out suddenly, and when they came back up Brutus was nowhere to be seen.
Pre-recorded…
The show cuts to backstage at the SCCW training facility, to where Ben Hanson is sitting in his office. He’s talking to someone off camera. Hanson says he’s pleased that they were able to take time out of their schedule to compete for the Hudson Cup, which Ben then placed on the desk in front of him. He commended Tommy Evans for becoming the inaugural winner of this trophy and is sure that it’s taking pride of place on the young man’s trophy cabinet at home. And Ben is sure this person will be more than a challenge for whoever is picked to face them.
The camera pans out to reveal none other than Annie Zellor standing there with a huge smile on her face. Zellor says she’s always willing to help out the future of FGA and the WCS companies, all of whom have been good to her over the years. She also makes note that Ben is an old family friend and she was glad he’s given her this chance.
The conversation turns towards who Annie’s opponent is going to be at High Voltage. Hanson pulls out a bingo ball cage with two dozen or so balls in it, which he then gives a spin before allowing Annie to pick one of the balls out. She hands it to Ben who opens it up … and his face goes blank. He almost seems ready to congratulate Annie on her impending victory, but instead laughs to himself before informing Annie that she’ll be facing The Jester on June 25th for the Hudson Cup!

The show cuts backstage to where Dickie Harter is surrounded by a group of teenage girls. Dressed in his leather jacket and sunglasses, Mr Delaware himself is quite happy to be signing autographs for his fans before he tells them to hold onto those autographs because they’re gonna be worth a fortune one day.
His attention is soon drawn down the hall, however, where fellow SCCW wrestler Sammie Rósza is heading towards him. Dickie greets her with a high five before wrapping his arm around Sammie’s shoulder as he introduces her to Megan, Marsha, and Molly. Sammie feigns a smile in their direction before quietly escorting Dickie away. Sammie herself appears excited that she’s debuting tonight, but is more excited that Dickie is also debuting!
She knows that Harter is going to thrill the SCCW crowd just like he does on the West coast, and that Velma Jones is going to be the first victim of Dickie’s Kill Shot. All of which Dickie seems to agree with, for some strange reason. She further strokes his ego by saying Dickie should’ve made his way out there earlier tonight to challenge Brutus for the SCCW Championship - but that’s where Mr Delaware draws the line. Dickie wants to earn his chances here in SCCW, and thrill the crowds all across Sussex County. But he tells Sammie that one day he’ll be the SCCW Champion, to which Sammie replies, “I know, Dickie. I know”, before the pair of them walked away down the hall.
Singles Match
Dickie Harter vs. Zoe Dupont
Harter made a grand entrance for his debut match, which seemed to have been changed from the scheduled match. After giving a fan his sunglasses, who some may recognize as Megan from earlier, Dickie got attacked before the bell by Zoe Dupont. She didn’t’ seem too pleased by the bombastic approach of her young opponent, and dragged him down off the corner so Dickie hit the top turnbuckle face first, before she dropped him with a DDT.
The pin only got a two count, though. Dupont maintained the upper hand early on, slapping and generally disrespecting Dickie in the corner as she slammed him around the ring with some snap suplexes and body slams.
In the third minute, however, Dickie found a way back into the match after avoiding a running splash in the corner. Dupont appeared dazed as Harter unloaded a series of rapid fire chops to the chest. An Irish whip followed, and Harter followed up with a running double knee jump to his opponent in the corner. He couldn’t seem to get a three count, though.
The match entered the fifth minute before Dickie slipped up; his back suplex attempt got countered as Zoe landed on her feet, and a schoolboy pin nearly stole the three count. But Harter kicked out in time. Dupont tried for another DDT again in the sixth minute, but Dickie was able to spin out of it and push Zoe chest first into the turnbuckle. She then stumbled backwards into an unimpressive looking Hartercanrana (inverted hurricanrana), but Zoe was able to slide out of the ring before Dickie could cover.
With his opponent on the outside, Dickie seized the opportunity to show off somewhat, and performed a handspring over the top moonsault that took out Zoe Dupont. Harter then followed that up by playing to his young fanbase, blowing a kiss to Megan from earlier. The match re-entered the ring and Dickie Harter quickly hit the Kill Shot (Boma Ye) for the three count.
Winner: Dickie Harter (6:43)
After the match, Harter was handed a microphone and decided to address the crowd. He’s pleased to be here in SCCW, thrilling the crowds on the East coast, but he wants the fans to pay attention to a match coming up later where his new best friend Sammie Rósza is going to whoop Sarah Campbell all around this ring!

Cameras switch to the backstage area as Claire James is seen standing in front of the camera with a microphone and smile. She begins to speak, but is quickly interrupted by a second figure walking into the frame, with a smile just as beautiful as hers. The second figure belongs to the referee that helped the Caffiends capture the SCCW Tag Team Champions at Emergence just a couple of weeks ago, prompting Claire to frown and the crowd to erupt into boos.
But the referee looks a bit different than normal. The past few times the crowd has seen him, he’s been clad in generic wrestling clothes. Black dress pants and shoes, and the zebra shirt. Now, he’s wearing wrestling tights in a shade of red, with the letter Z on the back, and matching kickpads. He’s still wearing the zebra stripes, but the sleeves are cut off and he has the bottom wrapped up in a hair tie so that the shirt clings tighter to his torso. He pushes a hand through his loose hair with a shit-eating grin as Claire begins to speak.
“The past few times we’ve seen you, you’ve been utilizing your role as a referee to help the Caffiends make their trek to the Tag Team Championships. You even went as far as to count slow for Adam & Chino in the tag team championship match at Emergence, and then planted Dragomirov in the mat with an STO before counting the three in the Caffiends favor, effectively handing them the tag team titles. I believe the six other competitors in that match, and all of these fans, deserve an explanation,” her eyebrow begins to furrow as the referee laughs cockily, licking his lips before rubbing his hands together.
“I don’t owe anyone anything. I came here to be a professional wrestler. I was trained by the Evans brothers at the Brute Camp, and decided to
lower myself down to the SCCW scene so that I could get my shot. I lost a good-paying job and my best friend to come here and get an opportunity to wrestle. And what does Ben Hanson do? He puts me in a referee shirt,” the man’s shit-eating grin turns into an angry laugh as he shakes his head, and then his expression changes to one of disgust and malice. “Well not anymore. I’m not going to let you misuse my talent and squander my potential by counting your threes ever again.”
The man rips off the referee shirt, revealing a Brute Camp tank top underneath, with the letter “Z” spray painted over it. “My name is Z, and I promise you that I
will be holding the SCCW Championship over my head before you know it.” He turns towards Claire, looking away from the camera for the first time since he began speaking, and his shit-eating grin returns. He winks at her, blowing her a kiss, before turning and walking out of shot. The camera lingers on Claire a moment as she watches him leave, before fading as she turns back towards the lens.

Ash Fi stands, a visible quake within the girl. Could it be nervous butterflies for her first match? Or could it be a shiver of anticipation. Ash being the honest girl that she is, confirms it is both. She’s played many sports in her young life, she wasn’t afraid of a little contact. But this professional wrestling was a whole new beast to her. She spent a good chunk of the segment talking about herself until she got to her opponent. She expressed how she hoped Z would grant her the level of competition she was looking for. All in all it kind of showed that this was one of her first bouts of public speaking. Sometimes she stuttered, sometimes her accent got so thick it was hard to understand her. Though speech muddy intent was clear, she was here to compete and she was here to win.
Singles Match
Ash Fi vs. Z
Before the match even started, Z made it clear who he was to the crowd as he threw his old referee shirt into the crowd on the way down to the ring. So naturally the fans were all backing Ash Fi before she even entered. The two newcomers showed what they’ve learned in their brief time here in SCCW during this match as they tussled on the mat.
They traded the basic submission holds, rolling around on the mat as they tried to counter each other. But it was Z in the third minute who took the advantage after an eye rake that caught Ash Fi by surprise. He showed some moderate striking prowess as he worked the Welshwoman over in the corner with some forearms and chops, before a running dropkick sent her down into a seated position. Z was able to transition that into a turnbuckle catapult, but the pin attempt only got a two.
Ash Fi did get some time to shine as well; the fifth minute rolled around and a rear waistlock by Z was reversed, which allowed Ash to hit a ripcord short arm lariat! Z flipped through the air and crashed to the mat before he was covered for a two count. Ash focused on her opponent’s neck, hitting a neckbreaker and more lariats before she dropped him with a bulldog. She looked ready to finish this one off, but Ash Fi seemed to struggle to hook Z’s legs for the bridging inverted Indian deathlock, and Z was able to reach the ropes before any damage could be done.
The match entered the eighth minute as Ash Fi had her opponent dazed in the corner. She charged in, but Z was able to get the boot up to catch Ash in the face! The Welshwoman staggered backwards and Z ran at her with The Brute (STO)! Ash sat back up, clutching the back of her neck and Z pounced, rolling her up with a la magistral cradle … with his feet on the ropes as the referee counted the three.
Winner: Z (7:36)
After the match Z rolled out of the ring and headed backstage with that shit eating grin on his face. But not before taunting Ash Fi from a distance for handing her a loss on her debut. Ash Fi still had the crowd’s support at the end of the match as she stared out after Z with a disappointed look on her face.

As the camera cuts to backstage, a furious looking Caintigern can be seen screaming incoherently outside of the management office. Claire James looks on, a little worried as the fiery red head roars on about how she still hasn’t been booked. James is then spotted, and the furious Irish woman confronts her, asking if she knows why management has refused to book her. James, stuttering, meekly answers that she thought it might have been to give her a rest after the hellacious match she competed in at Emergence against Rocky Rhodes. Bringing this subject up seems to be a poor choice, as this pushes the wildling over the edge, and she blasts back with a foul mouthed rant. She claims that the powers that be are all against her, allowing the outside interference that practically made her fight with Rhodes a handicap match, and that was their plan from the get go. She was ripped off, she was cheated and she was screwed, and one on one she would have destroyed him. Instead, she has been dealt her first loss in SCCW.
She bellows on that she does not conform to their image of a star, that she doesn’t come to the ring in flashy tights, she doesn’t go out to do interviews or any of that ‘poncey cac’ and she isn’t interested in doing all those fancy flips and grappling. It is because of this, she says, that the higher ups are so against her. Caintigern claims that she can take on any member of the roster at any time, and one on one she can beat them, and that scares them because she isn’t a ‘wrassler’ and she isn’t marketable, according to them. She finds it insulting that she should be the highest profile member of the roster with what she has accomplished, and she wasn’t even on the poster advertising the show. But she is going to prove something to them, she is going to prove something to Rhodes and if she has to embarrass the entire roster in the process and put in the boots, that is exactly what she is going to do. She is here simply to fight, she is a fighter and she will get a fight one way or another. At this point, Caintigern barges past the stunned James and away.
Singles Match
Sammie Rósza vs. Sarah Campbell
Campbell took the upper hand almost straight away as she overpowered the inexperienced Sammie Rósza. The Scotswoman backed her opponent into a corner and wailed on her with some punches and kicks, before some Irish whips sent Sammie from pillar to post to try and wear her down. A massive lariat in the third minute took Rósza down, but only for a two count.
Sammie got back into the match soon after, though. She ducked a clothesline in the third minute and countered with a sloppy looking rolling elbow that caught Campbell near the temple. Rósza looked a little upset with herself but persisted; a bulldog in the fourth minute earned Sammie a two count, as did a rolling cutter later in the same minute.
It wasn’t until a dropkick knocked Campbell through the ropes and onto the apron that Rósza was able to hit a triangle knee strike, albeit just barely. She managed to get back into the ring before the nine count, but Sammie stopped her from grabbing her Irn Bru, leaving the Scotswoman vulnerable for another rolling cutter for the three count.
Winner: Sammie Rósza (5:29)
After the match Sammie got onto the turnbuckle to celebrate her debut victory, drawing some cheers from the crowd.
